Throughout the growing season mother stocks undergo regular inspections performed by the Israeli Plant Protection Services in order to ensure plant health. At the end of the day, Carmel fresh cuttings are grown to meet demanding USDA (U.S.), NAKT (Holland) and SQ (Israel) Quality Assurance standards according to clients needs.
A Strict Cold Chain Process & Cutting-Edge Logistics Yield High Quality and On-Time Delivery
Carmel growers adhere to a strict cold chain process from the moment cuttings are harvested, up until the point of delivery to clients. Once harvested, cuttings are refrigerated at a temperature of around 4ºC depending on the crop. They are packed and transported in refrigerated trucks to Carmel's transit station located near Ben-Gurion International Airport. From there they are transported to the airport, and loaded onto temperature-controlled jumbo jets in order to quickly reach customers. Carmel's streamlined, state-of-the-art logistics operation puts it at the cutting-edge of safe and secure transportation and customs clearing, enabling it to adhere to final, on-time delivery schedules.
Taking Stock of Customer Needs
One of Carmel's main marketing strategies is to offer private stock services of our main growers to young plant companies and finishers. This method entails mother plants grown for a specific customer, who later receives cuttings from his own private stock. A long-term solution, it has proven itself, with several leading European companies coming to Israel with their own private stock. Israeli growers assume all responsibility regarding greenhouse investment, tools and materials, workforce, and possible production difficulties. The perfect solution, it enables European companies to lower their risks while at the same time benefit from excellent quality and logistics.
