Agrexco pulled off an international first at this year’s Horti Fair – the world’s most important professional flower and horticulture exhibition held annually in Amsterdam. For the first time a company stand was the recipient of three gold cups. Designed by Daniel Kantor, and accented with fresh floral, plant and propagation material arrangements created by Benzi Gil, Agrexco’s “Carmel Gourmet – Prestigious Restaurant” stand was awarded the Gold Cup for:
- Best Stand - including design, floral arrangements and product displays
- Best Floral Arrangement by a floral designer
- Best Floral Designer with Benzi Gil receiving the prestigious “Chizik Cup” – a rotating award presented to the most outstanding floral designer for his/her innovative arrangements. Until now this prize has only been awarded to a handful of Holland’s top floral designers. This time the prestigious prize went beyond Holland’s borders.
Explaining their decision, the judges noted that the unique ambience of the restaurant concept stood out, with floral arrangements designed to represent gourmet menus and dishes down to the very last detail. They also observed that upon entering the stand, visitors felt as though they were entering the Garden of Eden thanks to the wide range of high quality flowers designed in a spectacularly original manner.
The stand’s stunning performance comes as no surprise. Horti Fair’s management and leading designers were quick to note that each year Agrexco’s stand stands out thanks to an original look based on a novel conceptual design. As a result, Agrexco has become the gold standard for stand innovation, earning the reputation as Horti Fair’s leading exhibitor.
Horti Fair annually attracts over 50,000 professionals from 110 countries. The 2007 exhibition covered an expanse of 90,000 square meters, with over 1,000 companies from 51 countries exhibiting beautiful blooms and horticultural products. Now that Agrexco has earned the triple-crown, speculation is already underway as to how it will outdo itself in 2008.
