Agrexco Israel begins export of the unique sweet pointed pepper variety, RAMIRO

RAMIRO is a unique pepper variety belonging to the sweet pointed peppers group , exclusively marketed by Agrexco and "Sulat" , the latter holding exclusive rights on it.

The RAMIRO is sweet -7%-9% sugar level,(BRIX),it has intense red color , it is approximately 20cm long it and has long shelf – life.

The professional and strict standards of "Sulat" comply with BER and Global Gap.

"Sulat" has a modern packing facility with sophisticated automation fit to give response to any customer’s request.

In order to assure continuous supply , RAMIRO is grown in controlled greenhouses (temperature wise: heat/cold), regular greenhouses and growth tunnels. Itzhak Shay, Agrexco’s Ramiro product manager explained the rational behind this versatility. "Cooling in the controlled greenhouses enables planting in July thus starting the export season early. Heating during the cold winter months assures the required quality and continuous picking of the pepper. Planting in the regular greenhouses and tunnels takes place on different dates in order to provide a continuous produce."

Most of the RAMIRO’s growth areas are protected by biological extermination,
Bio-B.

RAMIRO will be marketed by Agrexco to the U.K, the Netherlands , Austria and Scandinavia from October till mid June. The RAMIRO will be sold in the leading supermarket chains in Europe in a special packing containing 2-3 units each, emphasizing RAMIRO’s beauty.
