Citrus export season is launched by Agrexco Israel
Citrus export season for Agrexco Israel has started earlier this year as a result of the warm weather which caused early ripening of all citrus varieties.

Red pomelo, Sweetie, red and white grapefruit are already on the market.

The red grapefruit is optimally grown in the northern part of Israel whereas the Sweetie in the western Galilee.



Golda Ezuz , Citrus Division Manager in Agrexco has informed that the citrus crop in 2008 will be similar in extent to the 2007 crop and in some of the varieties, will be even higher." we have high hopes from the fruit that has served as our best ambassador for years" she said.



Agrexco is mindful of health and environmental sensitivity and encourages its growers to adopt growing practices that respect those issues and at the same time yield a unique produce cherished by its consumers.

Citrus is exported to west and east European countries including the U.K. France, Italy, Poland, Russia, Germany the Netherlands Austria ,Belgium, the Chezh Republic, Hungary, Scandinavia.

By the end of October, Sweetie will be exported to Japan as well.
