| Agrexco Offers CARMEL'S Green Almonds, an Embodiment of the Oriental Magic and Flavour |

Green almonds have a very short season beginning in the end of April, lasting till the end of June, or even before if the weather gets too hot. But during that short period, they offer a magical taste which has no equivalent. The contrast between the smooth, sleek feeling of the peeled fruit and its silky skin adds to its rich exotic flavour and turns it into a rare, sought after fruit. The green almond can be eaten "as is" or as an ingredient in various dishes.
According to Tidhar Jackson, Product Manager in Agrexco, this season will mark an impressive 25% increase in exports, 100 tonnes versus last year’s 80 tonnes, destined to reach the U.K and France. He stated , "this increase is intended to satisfy the growing demand for the green almond before it dries and turns into the common almond we are all familiar with."
CARMEL’S green almonds will enter the market a fortnight before any of its competitors, and have a solo reign marked by a premium fruit whose growth has been meticulously observed and controlled, in conformance with the most stringent European standards. The green almond is mainly grown in the Emek Izrael ( Jezreel Valley) and the Lower Galilee.
