90% of the Mango produce is grown in the area around the Sea of Galilee with its perfect climate conditions for Mango cultivation.

Mangoes are rich in a large number of nutrients such as potassium, magnesium and calcium as well as Vitamin A & B, and are considered as having positive effects in case of several ailments. In the case of CARMEL"s Mangoes, they are also extra safe and extra healthy, clean from pesticides. In order to provide an extra safe fruit, the growers took part in an experimental project to exterminate the pest that presents the biggest damage potential for Mango, the Middle Eastern fly. Sterile male flies were intentionally spread in the cultivation areas as a means to reduce the flies population and thus lessen usage of chemical pesticides (Sterile Insect Technique- SIT).
