Early Arrival of CARMEL Top Level Medjool Dates Delegation to the Market

This year, CARMEL dates are bigger in size but also especially tasty.

Picking will start early this year, during the first week of August and first shipments will reach their eager customers shortly afterwards.

Ofri Dimentman, product manager in Agrexco informed that the exported volume of 1800 tonnes comes from various cultivation areas spreading from shore to shore, from the Red Sea to the Sea of Galilee. He remarked that a notable quantity of fresh juicy Medjool dates, is part of this impressive figure. The Medjool's nickname: "king of the dates", attests to its superior taste, a combination of sweet caramel with hints of wild honey evident in every bite one takes of its soft creamy flesh. The fresh Medjool has a different taste and texture than the regular Medjool picked when it's dry although both versions of this soft, luscious moist date, are excellent.

Another item in CARMEL's rich repertoire of dates, launched successfully last Christmas is a special packaging containing ten couples of Medjool dates and walnuts. Last year's warm welcome encouraged the company to double the number of these healthy and tasty combinations that will be sold in the big retail chains.

Agrexco's diversified line of date varieties and date growers enables the company to provide dates year round including the period of Ramadan when demand for the fruit is high.

Considered the oldest cultivated fruit in the world, grown on the date palm, "the tree of life", the dates continue to be a food for life with their high levels of potassium, magnesium, copper, manganese and fibers.

Then and now, CARMEL dates are Extra tasty and Extra healthy.
